This fully assembled high quality mooring line provides long serving the connection between a vessel and the top of a mooring buoy. They are made in-house by our very own riggers with a 3 working day lead time.

The main line is manufactured from 24mm nylon multi-plait rope and is professionally finished with spliced ends and yes, you can ask for variations and extra items such as anchors and sinkers. The complete arrangement is intended to remain attached to the mooring buoy, ready for the soft-eye end to be brought aboard and secured to the vessel.
The buoy-connection end has a hard eye fitted with a galvanised thimble and a bow shackle with screw pin. The vessel end has a soft eye that can be passed through a fairlead or over a bow roller before being secured to the forward cleat.
Protective wear sleeves cover the main rope body and the principal contact areas around both the soft eye and hard-eye thimble. A 10mm three-strand nylon tether is spliced to the soft eye and connects to an inflatable pick-up buoy.
The pick-up buoy provides approximately 4kg of buoyancy and includes a top handle. It allows the mooring line to be located and recovered from the water as the vessel approaches the mooring.
The assembly is available with a 2m, 3m or 4m main line. The complete arrangement is intended to remain attached to the mooring buoy, ready for the soft-eye end to be brought aboard and secured to the vessel.

How the mooring rig is used
- Connect the hard-eye end to the top of the mooring buoy using the fitted thimble and bow shackle.
- Leave the assembly connected to the mooring, with the pick-up buoy and tether positioned for retrieval.
- On approach, recover the pick-up buoy using its handle and bring the soft-eye end aboard.
- Pass the soft eye through the fairlead or over the bow roller and secure it to the forward cleat.
